The 学校的关系 Department offers many programs and opportunities for students that are still enrolled in 高 school or jr. 高. Early exposure to college can increase a students chances of university admission.  学校的关系 programs include Dual Enrollment, Concurrent Enrollment, and College Connection. 

The Dual Enrollment program is committed to providing students access to college-level coursework and units while attending 高 school. High school students will be offered clear pathways toward degrees and certificates in order to gain a jump start on post-secondary education. These students are more likely to complete an educational goal and achieve college and career readiness.

The passage of AB 288 allows California Community College districts to enter into College and Career Access Pathways (CCAP) Partnership Agreements with local 高 school districts to expand access to dual enrollment opportunities for 高 school students. High school students have the opportunity to earn college and 高 school credit simultaneously while taking college-level coursework at no cost. Program goals are to develop seamless pathways from 高 school to community college for career technical education (CTE) or general education transfer, 提高高中毕业率, and/or help 高 school students achieve college and career readiness.

  1. Explore strategies to diversify demographic representation in College Connection.  This is still being discussed and we hope to have it accomplished during the next school year.
  2. 增加对新宪章和现有宪章的宣传, 替代, and private schools that do not currently participate in the College Connection and/or Concurrent Enrollment programs. We have piloted the inclusion of Orland HS and are in discussions with other schools.
  3. Explore strategies to facilitate communication flow between College Connection faculty and the Associate Dean. Monthly meetings have been scheduled and communication continues to improve.

Currently the Dual Enrollment Program is extremely understaffed given the needs to meet the goals and demands required for a successful program.  Dual Enrollment Program staff works cooperatively with the Office of Instruction, 人力资源, Instructional Technology and Student Services to provide a strong dual enrollment program for our area 高 schools.  另外, Butte College Dual Enrollment staff collaborate with 高 school faculty, 辅导员, 并为行政人员提供程序支持, 学术和项目指导, 以及入职协助.
